In 2000, he became Deputy Director of H\u1ee2P T\u00c1C TR\u1eba Trading and Services Co., Ltd. He is currently Director of the YMCA Living Values and Life Skills Training Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/yup.edu.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/yup.edu.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/1-e1388376573892.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"600\" height=\"425\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">With an energetic personality and a desire to contribute to society, he has actively worked in many roles and organizations to gain experience and seek opportunities. \u201cDuring 4 years working for the British children's relief organization, The Save Children Fund, and more than 5 years volunteering with YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association), I had many opportunities to take training courses:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Project management.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Outreach, case management and team development skills (organized by Save the Children UK).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Social drama.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Shadow and hand puppetry, organized by SCF.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Community education through the A Ha method, taught by British experts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Gender and Development Issues (Health Education and Communication Center).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Leadership skills (in Malaysia).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Living value and Life skills training (in the USA)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Strategy development and people development (in Switzerland).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Human resource management (in Japan)\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Once fairly well equipped with knowledge, finances and personnel, he began building his own business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">His entrepreneurial idea arose \u201cfrom society's need for an arena where children and parents can practice skills, equip children with effective learning skills, and work with families to create the best environment for children's holistic character development (mental, physical, intellectual, ethical and social relationships). As a father myself, I also worry about finding a quality educational environment where my children can develop their character comprehensively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Recently, the press has often said Vietnamese education is heavy on knowledge but light on teaching people how to live. Juvenile delinquency is rising; children lack motivation to learn and social skills to cope with harmful influences. Family education also faces difficulties because parents have little time to teach their children. We therefore believe the SKILLS PLAYGROUND FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES will directly help parents and children and, more broadly, build a Vietnamese community with heart, virtue, and talent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">One might think that so many years of experience would make the entrepreneurial path smooth. However, like many others, he encountered numerous difficulties and challenges. When he and 6 founding members applied to establish H\u1ee2P T\u00c1C TR\u1eba Trading and Services Co., Ltd. in 2000, he faced many difficulties because he lacked experience in setting up an office, managing personnel and markets, finding customers, production and services, etc. Undeterred by difficulties, he and his colleagues gradually overcame them and became\u00a0<b>established the YMCA Living Values \u2013 Life Skills Training Center.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The main service the center offers customers is\u00a0<b>A skills playground for children and families<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/yup.edu.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_0696-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/yup.edu.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/DSC_0696-1-e1388376628699.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0696 (1)\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Method: Based on the educational method of the worldwide Scout movement (Boy Scouts)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><b>The Scout method:<\/b>\u00a0 The founder of the Scout movement,\u00a0<a title=\"Robert Baden-Powell\" href=\"http:\/\/vi.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Baden-Powell\">Robert Baden-Powell<\/a>\u00a0set the goal that Scouts would become \u2018healthy, happy and helpful citizens..<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The method is summarized as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Education Through Action<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Use the Law and Promise as guides for every action<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Outdoor activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In small groups (6-8 children\/group)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Progressive activity content, from basic to advanced through the proficiency badge and rank system<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Self-governing patrols: children manage themselves within their teams<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Symbolic framework: Scout uniforms, ceremonies, traditions, symbols, educational stories\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Youth leaders accompany and support children.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">3 principles of Scouting: duty to oneself, others and spiritual faith.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">5 environments for educating children:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2013 Parents: participate in parenting-skills workshops and training to work with the coaching team in providing the best educational program for children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2013 A team of professional coaches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2013 Activities in a natural environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2013 Small-group activities: interactions among children help change their awareness, attitudes, and behavior. 1<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><b>The project is in the process of refining:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2013 Business, financial, marketing and personnel plans, distribution systems and customer care\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2013 A plan to train a professional coaching team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2013 Build a prototype with a group of young people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">After researching many competitors, we found there was little competition serving primary school students. This was therefore an underserved market segment. The project showed many competitive advantages. We had more than 10 years of experience developing various life values and life skills training models, accumulating substantial knowledge. We believe the project is feasible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/yup.edu.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_3982.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/yup.edu.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_3982-e1388376770113.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3982\" width=\"600\" height=\"437\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><b>After taking the entrepreneurship course at YUP Entrepreneurship Training and Support Academy<\/b>, he gained much useful knowledge and many skills, learned valuable entrepreneurial experience from teachers, and received dedicated direct advice to refine his plan. Besides finding knowledgeable, experienced teachers and advisers, he also found like-minded people to support his project, including L\u00ea Th\u1ecb Kim Y\u1ebfn, Tr\u1ea7n Minh Ti\u00ea\u0301n, Tr\u00e2\u0300n Bi\u0301ch V\u00e2n, and Tr\u00e2\u0300n \u0110i\u0300nh Ch\u01b0\u01a1ng\u2014effective partners in advancing and developing Huy's project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><b>In the coming period, the Center plans to continue:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Recruit and train the coaching team<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Run a pilot with a group of 15\u201320 children<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Customer needs survey<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Organize Seminars Introducing Services<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Offer short courses for children, such as accelerated learning methods, confident communication and developing 8 types of intelligence.
