Here is the best part:<\/span><\/p>\n Nothing I say is my opinion.<\/span> All of It Is Based on Biology.<\/span> Not psychology, biology.<\/span> If you look at a cross-section of the human brain from above,<\/span> What you see is that the human brain is actually divided<\/span> into three main parts<\/span> that correlates perfectly with the golden circle.<\/span> The earliest part of our brain, the homo sapien brain<\/span> the neocortex<\/span> corresponding to the \u201cWhat\u201d level<\/span> The new neocortex is responsible for all<\/span> analytical and rational thoughts<\/span>and language.<\/span> The second section in the middle is formed by the limbic brain<\/span> And Our Limbic Brain Is Responsible for All Our Emotions,<\/span> like trust and loyalty.<\/span> It is also responsible for all human behavior,<\/span> all decisions,<\/span> and it has no room for language.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In other words, when we communicate from the outside in,<\/span> yes, people can understand large amounts of complex information<\/span> such as features and benefits and facts and figures<\/span> It simply does not control behavior.<\/span> When we can communicate from the inside out,<\/span> we speak directly to the part of the brain<\/span> that controls behavior,<\/span> and then we allow people to rationalize it<\/span> with the tangible things we say and do.<\/span> That is where wise decisions begin.<\/span> You know, sometimes you can give someone<\/span> all the facts and figures,<\/span> and they say, \u201cI know what all the facts and details are about,<\/span> but it just does not feel right.\u201d<\/span> Why Do We Use the Verb \u2018Does Not Feel\u2019 Right?<\/span> Because the part of the brain that controls decision-making,<\/span> does not control language.<\/span> And the best we can put together is, \u201cI don't know, it just doesn't feel right.\u201d<\/span> Or sometimes you say you are leading with your heart,<\/span> or you are leading with your soul.<\/span> Well, I hate to explain it to you, those things are not other parts of your body<\/span> controls your behavior.<\/span> All of This Is Happening Here in Your Limbic Brain,<\/span> the part of the brain that controls decision-making rather than language.<\/span><\/p>\n But If You Do Not Know Why You Do What You Do,<\/span> and people respond to why you do what you do,<\/span> next, how can you get someone<\/span> to vote for you or buy something from you,<\/span> or, more importantly, loyal to you<\/span> and want to be part of what you do.<\/span>Again, the goal is not merely to sell to people who need what you have;<\/span> the goal is to sell to people who believe what you believe.<\/span> The goal is not simply to hire people<\/span> people who need work;<\/span> it is hiring people who believe what you believe.<\/span> I always say that, you know,<\/span> if you hire people merely because they can do the job, they will work for your money,<\/span> but if you hire people who believe what you believe,<\/span> they will work for you with blood, sweat and tears.<\/span> And Nowhere Else Is There a Better Example Than Here<\/span> with the Wright brothers.<\/span><\/p>\n Most people do not know about Samuel Pierpont Langley.<\/span> And back at the beginning of the 20th century,<\/span> pursuing human-controlled flight was like today's information technology boom.<\/span> People are trying it.<\/span> And Samuel Pierpont Langley Had What We Assume,<\/span> the formula for success.<\/span> I mean, even now, you ask people,<\/span> \u2018Why Did Your Product or Your Company Fail?\u2019<\/span> and people will always give you the same permutation<\/span> of the same following 3 things:<\/span> insufficient investment, weak personnel and poor market conditions.<\/span> It is always because of those 3 things, so let us look at it.<\/span> Samuel Pierpont Langley<\/span> was allocated 50,000 dollars by the War Department<\/span> to build the airplane.<\/span> Money was not an issue.<\/span> He held a chair at Harvard<\/span> and had worked at the Smithsonian and had excellent connections.<\/span> He knew all the talented people of that time.<\/span> He hired the best people<\/span> money can be found.<\/span> And market conditions were absolutely wonderful.<\/span> The New York Times follows him everywhere.<\/span> And Everyone Waited Impatiently for Langley.<\/span>So how is it that you have never heard of Samuel Pierpont Langley?<\/span><\/p>\n And a few hundred miles away in Dayton, Ohio,<\/span> Orville and Wibur Wright<\/span> They have none of the things we consider<\/span> the formula for success<\/span> They have no money.<\/span> They funded their dream with the money earned from their bicycle shop.<\/span> Not a single person on the Wright brothers' team<\/span> having a university degree,<\/span> even Orville and Willbur.<\/span> And The New York Times Did Not Follow Them Anywhere.<\/span>The difference is,<\/span> Orville and Wilbur were driven by a cause,<\/span> by a purpose and by a belief.<\/span> They believe that if they<\/span> could conceive of a flying machine,<\/span> it can change the course of the world.<\/span> Samuel Pierpont Langley was different.<\/span> He wanted to be rich and famous.<\/span> He pursued the result.<\/span> He pursued wealth.<\/span> And see what happened.<\/span>The person who believed in the Wright brothers\u2019 dream,<\/span> work with them with blood, sweat and tears.<\/span> Others work only for a paycheck.<\/span> And They Tell Stories About Every Time the Wright Brothers Went Out,<\/span> they will have to take 5 sets of components,<\/span> because that is the number of times they failed<\/span> before they became superheroes.<\/span><\/p>\n And, coincidentally, on December 17, 1903,<\/span> The Wright brothers flew,<\/span> and no one there even experienced it.<\/span> We learned about it a few days later.<\/span> And the Evidence Shows That Langley<\/span> was driven by the wrong things,<\/span> on the day the Wright brothers took flight, he gave up.<\/span> He could have said,<\/span> \u201cThat is a wonderful discovery, gentlemen,<\/span> and I will improve on your technology,\u201d but he did not<\/span> He was not the first to invent it, so he did not become rich either,<\/span> did not become any more famous either, so he gave up.<\/span><\/p>\n End of part 2.
