When starting up, most entrepreneurs are still severely lacking and weak in leadership, management and operations skills. Although their businesses are not yet large, this limits the startup's success because when starting a business, one key to success is the ability to optimize resources<\/strong>, because your resources are too limited.<\/p>\n

One of a founder's weaknesses is assigning work and delegating authority. Many founders do not know how to delegate.<\/p>\n

In my experience, when assigning work, check the following actions<\/strong>, it will help you improve your effectiveness significantly:<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong>Set quantitative targets: deadline, budget, and quality standards upon completion (the Time \u2013 Cost \u2013 Quality trio).<\/p>\n

2.<\/strong>Determine how the work will be done (How to?)<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong>Choose who will perform the work (choose the person for the task, rather than inventing tasks for a person).<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong>Discuss with the person receiving the assignment.<\/p>\n

5.<\/strong>If you have many tasks, establish priorities.<\/p>\n

6.<\/b>Agree on how work will be evaluated and the desired results.<\/p>\n

7.<\/strong>Set checkpoints to review work (divide it into several milestones if the deadline is far away, so you do not ignore the employee's work until the \u2018line\u2019 arrives and you are\u2026 \u2018dead\u2019)<\/p>\n

8.<\/strong>Clearly define the delegated person's scope of authority.<\/p>\n

9.<\/strong>Ask the person receiving the task to repeat the assignment.<\/p>\n

10 (Bonus)<\/strong>. Announce it widely after the person assigned the task has accepted it (this technique increases the employee's commitment).<\/p>\n

To become an \u201cEntrepreneurial Superman,\u201d you must know how to delegate effectively, because you cannot keep doing everything well on your own forever.<\/strong><\/p>\n
