F<\/strong>ounded on\u00a020.11.2011<\/strong>,\u00a0YUP Institute<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0quickly became a pioneer in providing Vietnam's startup community with programs offering\u00a0high-quality training<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0entrepreneurship support system<\/strong>\u00a0effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

A trusted resource for entrepreneurship<\/strong>, YUP regularly organizes entrepreneurship training and support programs with measurable outcomes, continually working to address the current challenges of Vietnam's startup environment at their roots.<\/span><\/p>\n

E<\/strong>very\u00a0weekly<\/strong>\u00a0YUP Institute<\/span>\u00a0organization\u00a01-3\u00a0<\/strong>entrepreneurship training programs offering valuable, practical, actionable and highly applicable knowledge and experience for\u00a040+ learners per session<\/strong>, this is a training program\u00a0for the community<\/strong>\u00a0and entirely free of charge.\u00a0On average, each year YUP supports<\/strong>\u00a02,000+ people<\/strong>\u00a0apply this entrepreneurial experience and\u00a0greatly reduce wasted money, time and effort<\/strong>\u00a0with young entrepreneurs running projects\u00a0lack the conditions needed to succeed<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0cannot benefit from previous experience<\/strong>\u00a0from those who came before them. This is a\u00a0positive social impact<\/strong>\u00a0that YUP brings to the community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every year<\/strong>,\u00a0YUP Institute<\/strong>\u00a0organizing the program\u00a0\u201cX-Start Up\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>and selects outstanding individuals and projects to receive Vietnam's Entrepreneurial Talent Scholarships.\u00a0In 2012<\/strong>, the program was a great success, with 30 projects selected from a total of\u00a0350 applications\u00a0<\/strong>received. There are currently\u00a080% of learners are business owners, and 70% have thoroughly resolved their challenges after YUP's entrepreneurship support program<\/strong>\u00a0(one or more of the following: successfully founding a business, raising capital, building a team, launching a product that gains market acceptance, reaching break-even, achieving high returns, scaling up the business model, building a brand at low cost, turning negative cash flow positive, or raising enough funding while on the brink of bankruptcy to operate for the next 2 years\u2026).\u00a0Entrepreneurial Talent Scholarship Program 2013,2014,2015<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0have been, are being and will continue to be implemented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not every project is selected<\/strong>, because YUP's guiding principle is: \u201cYUP does not yet have the resources to help everyone, but will focus its resources on those whose potential for success is demonstrated by the strongest desire to succeed and the ability to take committed action starting today.\u201d<\/p>\n

E<\/strong>ducational programs at YUP with\u00a0a scientific, practical teaching method with academic rigor and strong real-world applicability<\/strong>\u00a0for Vietnam's startup environment, divided into\u00a03 stages:<\/strong>\u00a0(1) Training in 6 Skills<\/strong>\u00a0in-depth entrepreneurship training \u2013\u00a0(2) Coaching & Mentoring<\/strong>\u00a0the learners in each project \u2013\u00a0(3) Take \u2013 off<\/strong>: funding and access to capital, staffing support and business partner networks are valuable resources for entrepreneurs finding their feet during their first 3 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

At YUP, we often joke about\u00a0\u201cthe 5 UPs philosophy\u201d<\/strong>. Would you like to learn about\u00a0\u201cthe 5 UPs philosophy\u201d?\u00a0<\/strong>That is your startup journey:<\/span><\/p>\n

1 UP: Warm-UP<\/strong>\u00a0= you begin to \u201cwarm up\u201d before starting your business by listening to, reading and learning about startup stories. Every cell in your body comes alive whenever you hear the word \u201centrepreneurship\u201d! You want to do something meaningful for yourself!<\/span><\/p>\n

2 UP: Set-UP<\/strong>\u00a0= you begin preparing the resources needed to start a business: experience, relationships, capital, knowledge, skills and an understanding of your industry\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

3 UP: Start-UP<\/strong>\u00a0= now you are truly starting a business. You begin selling your first product and feeling worried and afraid: every morning, you do not know whether you will earn any money, but you know for certain that money will go out in expenses. Yet you remain optimistic about the future, sometimes so optimistic that\u2026 you lose your way.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 UP: Give-UP<\/strong>\u00a0= your startup capital has run out, cash flow is still negative, customers keep saying no, bills arrive before you can find money to pay them, the landlord wants the rent, your parents complain, and your partner leaves because your obsession with the business has left them neglected\u2026 Countless pressures weigh on your shoulders, and you start to think, \u201cMaybe I should give up?\u201d\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

At this point, the journey splits into 2 different scenarios:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Scenario 1:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

5 UP: Shut-UP<\/strong>\u00a0= you have officially given up. Now, whenever someone asks with good intentions, \u201cHow are you doing? Is the company thriving yet? When will you buy a car and take me for a ride?\u201d all you want to say is \u201cShut up!\u201d (Please stop bringing up\u2026 \u201cthat subject\u201d!)<\/span><\/p>\n

Scenario 2:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

5 UP: UP in the air<\/strong>\u00a0= you wisely continue gaining knowledge, finding mentors, learning and growing, and constantly refining your product and business model, until one day\u2026 you discover your own \u201cformula for success.\u201d You feel, quite rightly, that you are \u201cUP in the air,\u201d soaring high. Now you can take a little rest, but only a little, because your passion is still calling\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n
