At the start of the month, I write this story to encourage greater success in your business and life.
I lost 5 years and, by my reckoning, more than 20 billion dong simply because I did not know how to PAY THE PRICE FOR SUCCESS. Looking back over more than 5 years in business, that is a cost I will never allow myself to incur again.
Experience shows that when expanding a business, if the leader stays inside their own business, it often does not grow, or grows very slowly. Some signs of this group of businesses are as follows:
– The boss juggles many tasks, often handling several jobs at once, and is always on the phone.
– The boss decides everything and takes everything too.
– A tense working atmosphere in the business.
– Always waiting at work…
– Words such as ‘problem,’ ‘difficult’ and ‘no’… are often on the team’s lips
…
This happens because the management team's capabilities do not match the business's growth requirements, either holding back individuals and the organization or leaving that growth beyond their control. Neither situation is good. This is also when many problems arise in the business and the leadership team falls into the trap of ‘solving problems.’ There is a principle that whatever we focus on grows. Consequently, problems keep arising in these businesses, leaving no time for growth. The result is slow business growth and poor profitability.
IS THERE A WAY TO SOLVE IT?
The fastest way to resolve this situation is to improve the leadership and management abilities of the company's executive team. This makes sense: when you can see beyond the business, you have more than one way to handle problems as they arise. In reality, business problems constantly arise and require your decisions, and the speed at which they are resolved depends on your team's capabilities. The key, therefore, is each member of the leadership team's own ability. Strong problem-solving capability means emerging issues are resolved quickly, and vice versa.
Once major problems are dealt with quickly, the business will gradually face fewer emerging issues, and the time spent resolving them will decrease, leaving more time to focus on production and development.
We can therefore see that when business owners ‘stand’ above their own businesses, they help them develop better and reduce operational risks. So THE SOLUTION IS
– Business owners and management teams continually learn and improve their capabilities
– Inspire a motivation to learn in every single staff member of the business.
That is an effective way to create a ‘learning enterprise’ and help the business grow!
I did so, and after 2.5 years I reached my first 1M$ with my business. I call that ‘PAYING THE PRICE FOR SUCCESS’!
I spent more than 40 minutes writing this post and thought very carefully about whether to share it. In the end, I decided to press ‘POST,’ hoping it might help people in some way.
Wishing everyone success.
