A truly special program organized by the Yuppie Sài Gòn community... If participants were asked for a few words to describe that day, the 3 words they would say most often would be “tired,” “happy,” and “memorable.”
The program is considered to bring enormous value to students. Participants believe it will remain with them, motivating them to overcome life's challenges and serving as a catalyst to help them “Love Themselves” and live “Happily Every Day.”
Oh! So what happened that Sunday?
Leaving the city center at dawn on 22/07, all members of the Yuppie Sài Gòn community gathered at exactly 7:00 at the Nông trại Ong Vàng ecological site, full of excitement, curiosity, and delight.
Yuppies come from Saigon, Hanoi, Đà Nẵng, Cần Thơ, Buôn Mê Thuộc…
This is a truly new experience! You do not know whom you will meet or exactly which activities you will join, and curiosity helps you participate with greater enthusiasm.
And the first thing you experience when attending is that, whether or not you already know the Yuppies, you will feel how likable and approachable they are.
We are one! Perhaps that is why, throughout the long day, everyone could laugh and play together and put their arms around one another like friends.
On a journey full of interesting experiences, the Yuppies encountered one surprise after another. The main challenges and activities were as follows:
- Selfie Challenge
- Human pyramid
- Removing Scabs
- Paddling a basket boat
- Enjoying Performances and Meals Together
- Eating pineapple
- Taking a bicycle along the embankment
- Catching fish
- Tug of war
- Crawling through tunnels
- Find candy in a basin of flour
- Searching for the secret message
Running throughout the activities was a fierce battle between 2 teams: Sen BHD Team and ĐM (Destiny) Team.
Valuable Lessons Were Embedded in Every Game. Each Person Shared Feelings and Drew Lessons Through Their Own Life Experiences and Perspectives, Making This Team-Building Session Both Interesting and Valuable!
They participate not merely to play and have fun. They play and observe themselves, their teammates and how the game follows life's principles, drawing lessons for themselves.
All Yuppies understand that how they play this game is also how they play the game of life. That is why throughout the program, we can feel their fiery energy and enthusiasm!
Participants can be themselves, express themselves, connect and recharge their own and their teammates’ energy.
One participant used 2 words to describe the program: ‘Gloriously muddy.’ They said they had never experienced such a muddy team-building event in their life!
There were also people called ‘outsiders,’ who were not Yuppies and had never joined community activities. They attended at friends' invitations or out of enthusiasm for new challenges, and quietly told us that ‘everything exceeded their expectations.’
Whether they finished first or second, team members remained cheerful, because what satisfied them most was everyone’s unity, cooperation, and effort.
Surely, at times, the thought of giving up will cross our minds. Yet the positive energy around us is so strong that we push that thought away, shout ‘Keep going! Keep going!’ with our teammates, and move forward.
After much effort from the 2 teams, they completed the game to everyone’s delight. Jumps, high-fives, and warm handshakes brought them closer together.
At the end of the day, everyone sat together and shared their feelings with the organizers.
The trip has ended, but everyone's emotions seem as vivid as ever. The organizing committee sincerely thanks participants for giving their all until the final moment. We all participated with the spirit of warriors—“people going to the gym.”
May we continue spreading value with every step and applying the lessons from our recent journey to life.
That day's team building won the participants' hearts… and the participants won the organizers' hearts! It is a joy and a source of pride to be part of the Saigon Yuppie community. Congratulations all of us!
