Ethics and entrepreneurs' learning

A society with too many opportunistic, evasive, dishonest business practices is a misfortune for the nation, a source of insecurity for the community, and brings nothing good to those who engage in them.

For example, if you use deceptive tactics to sell poor-quality products, customers will eventually realize they have been tricked. They will not return and will encourage others to boycott the products too.

Entrepreneurs who base their business on connections with powerful officials to enjoy privileges and benefits above the law will see their careers vanish when those officials leave office or are “toppled.” Entrepreneurs skilled at exploiting loopholes to clear prohibited goods through customs and releasing products that fail to meet regulatory standards will sooner or later be discovered…

Many factors create entrepreneurs who operate opportunistically, exploit loopholes, and deceive. They may stem from a society that worships money, disregards values and social responsibility, lacks respect for the rule of law, and tolerates corrupt, bribed officials. But perhaps the deepest root lies in these entrepreneurs' childhood educational environment.

If children's cunning and dishonest behavior is not thoroughly prevented and corrected, they may easily grow up to become unscrupulous businesspeople. Winning games through tricks makes children feel extremely excited, and the behavior repeats more and more until they grow up and enter business.

No parents admit to tolerating their children's dishonesty. But sometimes they feel compelled to use various “tricks” to earn a living, which their children inadvertently imitate.

On the other hand, if parents always view the world around them with suspicion and no optimism, this can also cause children to resort to tricks and lies to defeat others or feel safe. Parents cannot bear all the blame; responsibility also lies with schools, the community, and strict enforcement of the law.

To cultivate genuine entrepreneurs who build wealth by creating positive social value, the most fundamental task is moral education for children: openness, honesty and patience, avoiding envy, scheming and deceit so others will accept and work with them.

These are core qualities needed throughout a person's development, in learning, communication, observation and understanding the surrounding world. If these qualities are cultivated and the child grows up to become an entrepreneur, they will surely be a resilient entrepreneur trusted by many partners and presented with many business opportunities.

Learning is very important. Entrepreneurs passionate about learning quickly grasp new things and apply them to business improvements and innovation. Owners who value learning focus on developing their teams and find it easier to attract talent and train successors. Learning is expressed through sharing, experience, self-study, and learning from society and employees. The habit of self-study should be cultivated from childhood using methods suited to each person.

To cultivate entrepreneurs with integrity, we must create an environment encouraging respect for the law, while parents also give close attention to raising children. Moral education and respect for learning are the foundations for developing genuine entrepreneurs of the future.
