A playground for Startups
“Stardibi—An Information Portal for Entrepreneurs” is Nguyễn Thanh Hưng's first startup project. His primary expertise is IT–Software Technology. With no previous startup experience, little business knowledge, and limited capital, he nevertheless took solid first steps through continuous effort and received positive feedback from the community.
From the earliest stage, young entrepreneur Nguyễn Thanh Hưng recognized the challenges of entering the market. The market for information technology products changes daily, meaning customer needs are increasing and quality requirements are becoming stricter. Anyone choosing to operate in this field must therefore prepare for a relentless battle, continually changing and adapting to market shifts. In addition, finding a co-founder and adviser posed real challenges for this young IT professional.
The idea for STARDIBI began with Nguyễn Thanh Hưng's own experiences. Before starting STARDIBI, he and his colleagues challenged themselves with several projects, but most failed to meet expectations for various reasons: lack of project management experience, not knowing how to build a specific plan, not establishing necessary connections and being unable to find trustworthy mentors…. After repeated failures, he recognized an unmet market need for an information portal for entrepreneurs. Thus STARDIBI was born to create a trusted destination for aspiring entrepreneurs, where they could search, interact, connect and support one another in their startup projects.
STARDIBI is an information portal for entrepreneurs, with a website as its product www.stardibi.com, and is moving toward a mobile version soon. Nguyễn Thanh Hưng and his team aim to make STARDIBI Vietnam's largest entrepreneurship portal, connecting the startup community. In 2014, STARDIBI aims to become a trusted place for startups to find co-founders, advisers/mentors, and partners.
Stardibi serves many target groups. Startup projects related to IT or Technology are its main focus. Teams planning to start businesses, young people interested in entrepreneurship, mentors, angel investors, investment funds, and related media channels can also find common ground there. This helps startups connect more, share information more easily, support one another’s growth, and contribute to Vietnam’s startup ecosystem.
STARDIBI operates in Technology, IT & Media, using these foundations to build a trusted entrepreneurship information portal in Vietnam.
Stardibi's co-founding team consists of young, talented members: Nguyễn Thanh Hưng as Project Leader & Product Manager; Lê Minh Duy as Tech Leader & Product Manager; and Lê Huỳnh Kim Ngân, founder of twenty.vn and co-founder of stardibi.com, supporting business development and communications. Sharing a purpose, direction, and vision, this young team is making every effort to build a solid foundation for its creation, STARDIBI.
The project currently focuses on the domestic market. In the future, it will expand into Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia… At present, the project is in its launching phase and has just announced the beta version of its website www.stardibi.com. Founder Nguyễn Thanh Hưng is confident in the project's feasibility. Yet he acknowledges difficult early stages, as the model is still new in Vietnam and may not be widely understood. Its community reach and Stardibi's achievable market share will become clear later. In 2014, Stardibi will operate entirely for the community without generating profit this year, while promising future benefits.
At first, the team really struggled to find co-founders to fill gaps in expertise. With Kim Ngân now responsible for Business and Marketing, STARDIBI Team has gradually become more complete and organized. It also struggled with the chicken-and-egg problem and how to make the project go viral and market it to users. The team faced personnel and business planning issues too, but fortunately everything is being resolved toward greater completeness.

The Stardibi Team is reportedly focusing on upgrading its product to meet startups' needs as fully as possible. Initially, STARDIBI will support startups by connecting people (human resources). In the future, it will accompany entrepreneurs in fundraising (connecting with investors), knowledge and information, and hopes to enter education.
Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Hưng shared that the team's immediate plan is to focus on developing its website product www.stardibi.com in the domestic market, supporting Vietnamese startups at the current stage. He also shared that market expansion would be part of his long-term strategic planning.
Let us wish Nguyễn Thanh Hưng and his colleagues continued sustainable development of their project, making STARDIBI a renowned and trusted entrepreneurship information portal within the startup community in particular and among the Vietnamese public in general.
