The Golden Circle – The Secret of a Leader's Influence (P2)

golden circle

Here is the best part:

Nothing I say is my opinion. All of It Is Based on Biology. Not psychology, biology. If you look at a cross-section of the human brain from above, What you see is that the human brain is actually divided into three main parts that correlates perfectly with the golden circle. The earliest part of our brain, the homo sapien brain the neocortex corresponding to the “What” level The new neocortex is responsible for all analytical and rational thoughtsand language. The second section in the middle is formed by the limbic brain And Our Limbic Brain Is Responsible for All Our Emotions, like trust and loyalty. It is also responsible for all human behavior, all decisions, and it has no room for language.

In other words, when we communicate from the outside in, yes, people can understand large amounts of complex information such as features and benefits and facts and figures It simply does not control behavior. When we can communicate from the inside out, we speak directly to the part of the brain that controls behavior, and then we allow people to rationalize it with the tangible things we say and do. That is where wise decisions begin. You know, sometimes you can give someone all the facts and figures, and they say, “I know what all the facts and details are about, but it just does not feel right.” Why Do We Use the Verb ‘Does Not Feel’ Right? Because the part of the brain that controls decision-making, does not control language. And the best we can put together is, “I don't know, it just doesn't feel right.” Or sometimes you say you are leading with your heart, or you are leading with your soul. Well, I hate to explain it to you, those things are not other parts of your body controls your behavior. All of This Is Happening Here in Your Limbic Brain, the part of the brain that controls decision-making rather than language.

But If You Do Not Know Why You Do What You Do, and people respond to why you do what you do, next, how can you get someone to vote for you or buy something from you, or, more importantly, loyal to you and want to be part of what you do.Again, the goal is not merely to sell to people who need what you have; the goal is to sell to people who believe what you believe. The goal is not simply to hire people people who need work; it is hiring people who believe what you believe. I always say that, you know, if you hire people merely because they can do the job, they will work for your money, but if you hire people who believe what you believe, they will work for you with blood, sweat and tears. And Nowhere Else Is There a Better Example Than Here with the Wright brothers.

Most people do not know about Samuel Pierpont Langley. And back at the beginning of the 20th century, pursuing human-controlled flight was like today's information technology boom. People are trying it. And Samuel Pierpont Langley Had What We Assume, the formula for success. I mean, even now, you ask people, ‘Why Did Your Product or Your Company Fail?’ and people will always give you the same permutation of the same following 3 things: insufficient investment, weak personnel and poor market conditions. It is always because of those 3 things, so let us look at it. Samuel Pierpont Langley was allocated 50,000 dollars by the War Department to build the airplane. Money was not an issue. He held a chair at Harvard and had worked at the Smithsonian and had excellent connections. He knew all the talented people of that time. He hired the best people money can be found. And market conditions were absolutely wonderful. The New York Times follows him everywhere. And Everyone Waited Impatiently for Langley. So how is it that you have never heard of Samuel Pierpont Langley?

And a few hundred miles away in Dayton, Ohio, Orville and Wibur Wright They have none of the things we consider the formula for success They have no money. They funded their dream with the money earned from their bicycle shop. Not a single person on the Wright brothers' team having a university degree, even Orville and Willbur. And The New York Times Did Not Follow Them Anywhere. The difference is, Orville and Wilbur were driven by a cause, by a purpose and by a belief. They believe that if they could conceive of a flying machine, it can change the course of the world. Samuel Pierpont Langley was different. He wanted to be rich and famous. He pursued the result. He pursued wealth. And see what happened. The person who believed in the Wright brothers’ dream, work with them with blood, sweat and tears. Others work only for a paycheck. And They Tell Stories About Every Time the Wright Brothers Went Out, they will have to take 5 sets of components, because that is the number of times they failed before they became superheroes.

And, coincidentally, on December 17, 1903, The Wright brothers flew, and no one there even experienced it. We learned about it a few days later. And the Evidence Shows That Langley was driven by the wrong things, on the day the Wright brothers took flight, he gave up. He could have said, “That is a wonderful discovery, gentlemen, and I will improve on your technology,” but he did not He was not the first to invent it, so he did not become rich either, did not become any more famous either, so he gave up.
