Surely, when any of us works for a company, we hope to become a leader someday soon. Leadership is also a word many people love and take pride in talking about. Yet it is hard to define what ‘leadership’ actually involves.
We can easily find many articles on this topic by typing “what is leadership” into Google. You will also find guidance to help distinguish leadership from management (leaders from managers). After reading all those materials on “leadership,” however, can you be certain you know what it is? Can you be sure that what you are doing is leading or managing?
Because it is rather vague, many people mistakenly believe “leadership” requires innate qualities. Some company CEOs also struggle greatly to discuss “leadership.” They are leaders, yet few truly understand it.
To help CEOs understand leadership and run businesses more effectively and excellently, YUP was delighted to partner with VCCI in successfully organizing a course on this topic for members. VCCI is a respected organization representing Vietnam's business community, employers and business associations.
The theme throughout the training was “Decoding the genes of effective business leadership.” This module, taught directly by lecturer Tạ Minh Tuấn, forms part of the CEO training course.
